Brittany is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University. She has over eight years’ experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in a variety of settings including psychiatry hospitals, outpatient clinics, and school settings. Brittany treats individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, difficult life changes, and self-esteem issues.
In practice, Brittany uses an integrative approach. She pulls from several modalities to craft the best treatment plan for each client, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Reality Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Because Brittany believes that no single modality can fit every client’s therapeutic goal, she adapts to each individual with a customized approach.
Brittany enjoys working with her clients to create a healthier lifestyle through positive communication, hard work, and dedication. She assists clients in creating positive change in their own lives by offering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, and encouraging and motivating clients to reach their full potential in life.
Brittany believes that life, like therapy is about pushing yourself outside your comfort zone, and embracing growth and learning those new things that will develop into new behaviors and thinking patterns. She believes therapy allows individuals to create a space for self-discovery, self-awareness and personal growth. In her experience, meaningful connections in the therapy room can promote healing and often leads to trustworthy connections with others as well.
Please feel free to call Brittany at 630-446-0053, if you have any additional questions. She looks forward to hearing from you!
